Dr.
Walter Steiger will be honored for his distinguished service to the
astronomy and science community. 
Dr. Walter Steiger has
been involved in projects of CSO since late 1980s. He was a
manager of the observatory before CSO started its operation. He
is Professor
Emeritus
of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He
works at his
office
of CSO for his various projects and helps CSO for our outreach
efforts.
He will be honored for his
distinguished service to the Astronomy and Science
community at 'Imiloa on the 8th of October 2010.
