Galileo
Block Party at the CSO base facility
On the 24th of
October 2009, Galileo
Block Party was held at the University of Hawaii
at Hilo
Science and Technology Park. Fourteen institutes/organizations
gathered for the block party and
celebrated the International Year of Astroyomy 2009. Over a
thousand peope visited the Park to
enjoy many different activities/demonstrations. At the CSO,
we had three activities including
CSO rocket art project, interactive demonstration using a spectrum
analyzer to understand 'radio wave',
and vacuum demonstration to understand how light/sound travel in
space. Over 250 people visited
the CSO facility and enjoyed the activities.
