This is the “first glimmer” plot for the DSOS, done in June 2002.  This is a plot of a 12CO line of TRIFID3 using the 692 GHz heterodyne receiver. This was done with 7 calibrated channels activated, entered in by hand.  The black line is DSOS off, and the red line shows the improvement in signal power with DSOS on.  The improvement was 14 %.  You can also see that some side structures to the left of the main peak became more apparent.
	Because of this plot, interest in the DSOS’s performance at higher frequencies increased, and a test with SHARC2 was scheduled for the following month.
