The CSO has new uninterruptable power supplies (UPS) since 26th of January 1996. There are 3 separate UPSs located below the control room in the UPS room. Each UPS provides clean power to a separate area of the telescope. UPS #1 does the control room, old VAX room, 3rd floor electronics lab, and the communications (west)pit. UPS #2 does the 2nd floor electronics lab, or AOS room. All the clean power is in the equipment rack. UPS #3 handles the sidecab, alidade and hexplate. All clean power in the sidecab is in the rack, or on the receiver plate.

Circuit Breakers:

All the main or service entrance breakers are in the UPS room on the wall just above the UPSs. There is a make before break transfer switch for each UPS. They are numbered just like the UPSs. The output circuit panels for each UPS are located on the second floor. Panels 1 and 2 are in the VAX room (206) and panel 3 is in the sidecab.
